HOPE Community — Emergency Shelter for Families
HOPE Community is the area’s premier family shelter, combining a peaceful living environment with robust support services to ensure no family has to face homelessness alone.
We provide:
- Expert case management to help families find and maintain permanent housing
- Strategic job referrals to help parents build financial stability
- Compassionate counseling services through our Hope & Healing program to help families process trauma and build strength
- Childcare referrals and educational support to maintain stability for the youngest members of our community
- Nutritious meals to reduce hunger and support the health and wellbeing of every family member
HOPE operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We serve families from Leon, Gadsden, Madison, Jefferson, Franklin, Wakulla, and Liberty counties. Our emergency shelter policy provides up to 90 days of shelter while our counselors help each family develop a personalized housing plan. All school-aged children are required to attend school, and we will assist with school placement services as needed.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)
Our SSVF program is designed to address the root causes of housing instability for veterans and their families. We provide wrap-around support tailored to the unique needs of military families, including:
- Assistance finding new housing or navigating the steps to keep your current home
- Personalized support to access VA benefits and local resources
- Strategic job referrals to veteran-friendly employers to build long-term financial security
- Access to legal assistance to help resolve barriers to housing, employment, or credit
- Practical help turning a housing unit into a functional home for the whole family
We serve veterans and their families across a 13-county region: Leon, Gadsden, Madison, Jefferson, Franklin, Wakulla, Liberty, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Washington, and Bay counties.

Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)
Our Permanent Supportive Housing program provides more than just an apartment — it provides a community of support. We specialize in helping individuals with disabilities navigate the journey of finding and keeping a home that meets their needs.
Services include:
- Assistance locating and securing housing tailored to your physical and accessibility needs
- Monthly case management with a dedicated specialist to help you meet your goals and maintain stable housing
- Long-term advocacy as a bridge between residents and landlords — helping resolve challenges before they become crises
- Ongoing support connecting residents to healthcare, community resources, and daily living needs

Youth Launch Program — Ages 18 to 24
Youth Launch is about more than just a roof — it’s about having a plan. Our Youth Launch Program provides a comprehensive support system for young adults ages 18–24 who are transitioning to self-sufficiency.
Services include:
- Access to stable living environments tailored for young adults
• One-on-one case management to set goals, build budgets, and develop life skills - Guidance on finishing school, finding employment, or starting a vocational program
- Practical support navigating everything from opening a bank account to signing a lease
